Terms of Service
The ground rules for using this website and working with us, in plain language.
Last updated: 9 October 2026
In short: this website is information about what we do. The actual work — software, training, hosting or support — is agreed in a written quote or agreement, and that document wins if it says something different from these terms. Each of our products (GateControlX, ShopGuard, NearbySafe, Mopari) has its own terms on its own site or app.
1. Who we are
This website, obc.org.bw, is run by Oceanbreeze Concepts (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in Botswana under registration number BW00005819590 (“Oceanbreeze”, “we”, “us”).
- Physical address: Plot 475, Ghanzi, Botswana
- Postal address: P.O. Box 851, Ghanzi, Botswana
- Phone / WhatsApp: +267 77 833 816
- Email: [email protected]
2. What these terms cover
These terms apply when you browse this website, send us an enquiry, use our remote support tool, or buy a service from us directly (custom software, training, web and email hosting, or consulting). By using the website you accept them.
Where we give you a written quote, proposal, service agreement or licence, that document sets out the specific deal and takes priority over these terms where the two differ.
Our products have their own terms. GateControlX, ShopGuard, NearbySafe and Mopari POS are each governed by the terms, licence or end-user agreement published with that product. These terms do not replace them.
3. Using this website
You may use this website to learn about us and get in touch. Please do not:
- try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or our systems;
- send spam, malicious code or automated submissions through our forms;
- copy the site’s content, logos or design for your own commercial use without our permission.
We work to keep the information here accurate and current, but descriptions of services, features and prices are a general guide, not an offer. We may change or remove anything on the site at any time.
4. Quotes, prices and payment
- Prices shown on the website are indicative. Many of our services are quoted per job because the cost depends on your site, group size or hardware.
- A quote is binding only once you accept it in writing (email or WhatsApp is fine) and it is still within the validity period stated on it.
- Amounts are in Botswana Pula (BWP) unless the quote or product page says otherwise — for example, NearbySafe is priced in US dollars.
- Payment terms, deposits and due dates are those on the quote or invoice. We may pause work or a service if an invoice remains unpaid after we have reminded you.
- Subscriptions (such as hosting or a product plan) renew for each billing period until either side cancels as set out in the quote or product terms.
5. Our services
Custom software development
We build to the scope agreed in writing. Changes to that scope may change the price and the timeline, and we will tell you before going ahead. Ownership of the finished code, the licence you receive, and any ongoing support are as set out in your quote or agreement. Unless that document says otherwise, we keep the rights to our own tools, libraries and know-how that we bring to the project and that exist apart from it.
Training
Sessions are quoted per group, based on the course, group size and venue. If you need to reschedule, please let us know as early as possible; any cancellation charge will be stated on your quote. Certificates confirm attendance and completion of the course content.
Web and email hosting
You are responsible for the content of your website and email, and for keeping your passwords safe. You may not use our hosting for spam, illegal content, or anything that harms other customers or our servers; we may suspend a service that does. Domain names are registered in your name where the registry allows, and remain yours.
Consulting and advice
Our recommendations are based on the information you give us at the time. You remain responsible for the decisions you make about your own business.
6. Remote support
Our Remote Support page lets you download an agent so our team can see and control your computer to help you.
- We connect only when you run the agent. By running it, you agree that we may access the device for the purpose of the support you asked for.
- Connect mode lasts only for the current session; access ends when you close the window.
- Install mode installs a permanent background agent for managed devices. It stays until you or we uninstall it, and should only be used on devices we support under an agreement with you.
- Please close anything confidential that we do not need to see, and make sure you are allowed to grant access to the device (for example, that it is not your employer’s computer without their approval).
7. AI demonstrations
Some pages on this site show demonstration chatbots that use a third-party AI service. Their answers are generated automatically, may be wrong, and are not medical, legal, financial or professional advice. Do not enter personal or sensitive information into a demo.
8. Intellectual property
The content of this website — text, graphics, logos and the names Oceanbreeze, GateControlX, ShopGuard, NearbySafe and Mopari — belongs to Oceanbreeze Concepts (Pty) Ltd or is used with permission. Other trademarks mentioned (for example Hikvision, WhatsApp or Microsoft) belong to their owners and are mentioned only to describe compatibility.
9. Links to other websites
We link to our product sites and to other services. Each of those sites has its own terms and privacy policy, and we are not responsible for third-party sites we do not run.
10. Our responsibility to you
We do our work with reasonable care and skill. Beyond that:
- This website is provided “as is”. We do not promise it will always be available or free of errors.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profit or lost business, arising from use of this website.
- For services you buy from us, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for that service in the twelve months before the claim, unless your agreement with us says otherwise.
- We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as power or internet outages, network failures of third-party providers, or natural disasters.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded under Botswana law, including the Consumer Protection Act.
11. Your personal information
How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Botswana. If you have a complaint, please contact us first — most problems are solved with a phone call. If we cannot resolve a dispute together, it will be decided by the courts of Botswana.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Changes do not affect a quote or agreement you have already accepted.
